As a federal non-profit 501(c)3 organization, we raise money to help the Grandville library provide you, its patrons, with many resources not provided through budgets... Just a few of the things we have supported:
Summer Family Night Programs in the Amphitheatre
The Grandville Reads event
Children's area KDLville items
Pillows for the Ruff Reader Program
Teen area Wii You game and teen programs
Library equipment: (Boom box, Projector screen)
How do we raise money?
We host used book sales (donations always welcome!), our holiday craft sales, and home product shows, as well as maintaining the Book Nook and the sale of items on our Kiosk in front of the Book Nook.
What resources do we provide? Take a look around the library and you'll see shopping baskets, display equipment, wheel chair, play areas, and posters...just a few of the items we provide. We also support a wide range of library related programs and services such as the Summer Family Night series and the Grandville Reads community event. The Friends donated the sculpture "Moon Dance" to the people of Grandville! "Moon Dance" is an iron structure created by Shelbyville artist Jay Prosch-Jensen, who participated in the inaugural ArtPrize (2009).
Can you join?
Of course! We are always open to new members. You don't have to become a board member to join, either; you can simply help us out in the Book Nook, at used book sales, at other events...whatever fits your schedule! To join, please complete this form.
If you have submitted your information, thank you! The form resets once you hit the "submit" button. We will be contacting you soon!
